Usage Notes
Azul has become the standard pan-Amazigh greeting, used as a cultural marker of Amazigh identity. It transcends dialectal boundaries.
Can be used at any time of day. Often followed by 'manzakin?' (how are you?) or 'labas?' (all good?).
Response is typically 'azul' back, or 'labas, tanmirt' (fine, thank you).
